Hey Church, our word for this week comes to us from Hebrews 12:2

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning it’s shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

I want to talk to you a little today about who we should “keep our eyes on”, who we should look to as an example of how to live our lives and who we should “depend on “.  If we look to “human” examples of who to model our lives after or to depend on it might be well and good for a while but eventually they are going to let you down by not living up to your expectations of how they should live and do things.  It may be a real “failure” on their part or it may just be their perception that you failed.   Either way you’ve let them down and failed them.  Some one  said “a persons perceptions is their reality.” I want to encourage you that since all people will eventually “fail” you (me included), to look only to the one who will never fail you, Jesus the starter and the finisher of our faith, the only one who ever lived a perfect life and whom we can depend on to be there for us always by the power of his Holy Spirit in our lives.  He will never let you down or fail you!  As God has also said in Hebrews 13: 5b-6

“Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.  So we can say with confidence, The Lord is my helper I will not be afraid, What can man do to me?”

God  Bless
